There are so many dynamics of women's relationships that it's hard to identify one that impacts us more than others; however, this morning, Elizabeth Kupferman and I will be talking about 'When other people don't like you". ??
We've all been there - and even when we say "I don't care if people like me.", we're just showing others the emotional wall we've built to block the hurt of rejection. We ALL care, and we ALL need each other to survive. We can't reach our potential without the help of others.??Having said that, we need to balance our need to be liked with an understanding of what is true about our CURRENT situation.
All too often, we incorrectly assume that the other person is right and that we are wrong, or bad. We live by the "Polite Person Rule" and work hard to make amends in a situation that calls for a different response.
Plaid for Women radio is produced to give you information, advice and resources to be YOUR wise advisor. Our goal is to help you achieve your goals, gain influence, and be heard. Every show, we are commited to bringing you new ideas and suggest new ways of thinking to give you opportunities to change your thinking and change your life. You CAN live the life you've imagined!
