The dictionary states that child support is “funds to be paid by one parent to the custodial parent of a minor child after divorce or separation. Usually the dollar amounts are based on the income of both parents, the number of children, the expenses of the custodial parent and any special needs of the child.” The debate on what child support funds should be used for continues to get more and more heated as the number of single parenting cases rise. Some women feel it’s okay to use the money for whatever they want to as long as the child is being cared for and some men feel the money needs to be accounted for penny by penny as directly being used for the child(ren)’s needs. Hosts Monica “MoGeSu” Sumter and Danielle “Virtuous Diva” Harrell will talk about their own personal experiences and get feedback hopefully from both males and females on the topic of child support and what it should be used for.
