God's Universal Way of Fighting with Todd Tomasella and Travis Bryan III

Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. Jn 18:36. 

And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.  Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.  Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?  Matt 26:51-53.

For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them.  Lk 9:56.

God's non-violent way of fighting is that He fights evil by dying, not by killing!

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.  But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.  And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.

GOD DOES NOT FIGHT:

Evil WITH evil;

Illegal Violence WITH legal violence;

Murder WITH lawful killing;

Illegal force WITH greater legal force; Evil military force WITH greater military force; Offense WITH pay back for the offense; Suit WITH counter-suit; Threat WITH greater threat; Strike WITH pre-emptive strike; Tit WITH tat; Eye FOR eye; Tooth FOR tooth.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.  Romans 12:21.  This is God's way of fighting back, overcoming evil with good.  Overcoming hate with love.      Extinguishing violence by turning the other cheek.
