Welcome to "Rosales' History of The South" Radio Show. This show is a companion to my popular syndicated bilingual newspaper column "Rosales History of The South / La Historia Del Sur por Rosales". We will be discussing Southern History and Genealogy from the Colonial Period to the Present. We begin our inaugural show tonight speaking about Miguel Eslava (1740-1823) an early Spanish Colonial Era Settler to Mobile, Alabama and some of the History and Genealogy connected to him, as well as the Legend of his Tomb, at Church Street Cemetery in downtown Mobile, Alabama. We will also briefly talk about the Cazadores Espanoles Regiment, Louisiana Militia (Confederate) composed of Spaniards and Cubans, during the Civil War. I hope you enjoy the show !!
