When she looks back at it, she's glad she didn't make the cut the first time, because that is when she learned the valuable lessons of hard work and persistence. From an early age, she realized that she is not afraid of failing, she is only afraid of never trying. With this mindset, she put her life in a U-Haul and left her hometown of Roswell, GA to pursue Musical Theatre in NYC. She rolled into Times Square at 4am and thought, "What in the world did I get myself into?" But, of course, she couldn't trade that experience for anything. While there, she got to train with Broadway's best, travel the country with leading roles, and become both a better performer and a stronger person.  After one of her shows, she felt that God was leading her in a new direction. So, she grabbed her red cowboy boots and headed to Nashville, TN, where she knew all of 3 people.
