It’s that time again! Join us tonight for another Round Table Tuesday, as we keep the conversation going……Jan. = New Year’s Eve Feb. = Valentine’s Day March = St. Patrick’s Day April = (Should have been Easter) May = Mother’s Day June = Father’s Day July = Independence Day August = School Clothes Shopping Sept. = Labor Day Oct. = Halloween Nov. = Thanksgiving Dec. = Christmas. For every month of the year, there is a day designed to get you to spend money. A lot of people do not know the history & motive behind these holidays & just follow blindly. We never stop to question why we are participating in a day that has nothing to do with us. The holidays were put in to play to make sure money is coming out of your pocket & going into theirs. We do it faithfully & then go begging for things that we are capable of providing for ourselves. Black people spend the most & still don’t have the basic necessities we need for survival. Money talks & if we are going to get out of our financial crises, our thinking & handling of our money is going to have to change. The money is there, we’re just mismanaging it. Besides seeing family members, which one of these holidays does our people any good???? Us as a people, should be gathering with our families regardless. We should not have to be told when to celebrate each other, mother’s, or fathers. We are going to go into this a little deeper tonight! Call in with questions, comments, & concerns. At 9PM sharp…. 917-889-3009, press “1” to speak on it!
