Bobbi de Córdova-Hanks is the founder of Bosom Buddies, a full-service breast cancer support and education program at the Women's Center of Jacksonville, now in its 22nd year. She is also a national advocate/activist for people with cancer and has been a member of the governing board of the Intercultural Cancer Council, the largest multicultural and multidisciplinary organization in the USA devoted to the elimination of the unequal burden of cancer on ethnic and racial minorities and the medically underserved, for 10 years. Further, she is also the editor of its newsletter "the Voice." Finally, along with her husband she is co-author of "Tears of Joy" and its Spanish version "Lágrimas de Alegría" and a survivor of three primary cancers.
