This week our host Bill Levin will be speaking with Jeff Johnson. Jeff and Bonnie Johnson are a married couple who were arrested in the fall of 2007 for cultivation and possession charges in a spectacular raid on their home and business, the Wine and Vine in Muncie. Bonnie Johnson has migraines and other issues related to a head trauma she suffered in 2003 and uses cannabis with a doctor's endorsement to control the pain. The cultivation charges were dropped once tests showed the plants they confiscated were hops plants and the possession charges are for less than one ounce. The media have got the facts of the case wrong, and the Indiana State Police has released bogus information to the media sensationalizing the case to a national audience. We will attempt to set the record straight today with our chat with Jeff.
