"See the Ball//It's Just a Metaphor." Zach Kleiman, tennis coach, often called Yoda by his clients, has a unique and spirited approach to teaching and coaching. He combines coaching and counseling in a career that makes him as carefully attuned to students' psyches as he is to their ground strokes. "Having awareness of the body, using the mind, connecting to spirit, bringing in psychology-those four things are the work," Kleiman was quoted in the Rochester Review. Although his home court is tennis, he does not confine himself to the tennis court. Kleiman accompanies students to the driving range, The Comedy Store, the putting green-even the billiards table-and counts among his clients golfers, basketball players, and the U.S. Olympic fencing team, as well as writers, actors, producers, directors, and musicians from the entertainment world. His media appearances include Good Morning America, Your/LA on NBC-TV, profiled in the Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, LA Daily News, to name a few. "Freud at 150" makes note of Zach's teaching style, and the Preface to the new edition of the classic "The Inner Game of Tennis" by Tim Gallwey is his. Also to his credit, Zach is published in the Psychiatric Times, is currently writing the column "Conversations from the Court" on Rainn Wilson's SoulPancake.com, and he took over and expanded TennisDiary.com, a tennis blog/news site with many other writers. His columns on TennisDiary.com reflect issues being played out on the court and how they get resolved. Zach has also developed a tennis program for Promises, a drug/alcohol, depression/anxiety rehab facility in the Los Angeles area. http://www.zachkleimantennisdiary.com http://twitter.com/zachkleiman http://www.linkedin.com/in/ZachKleiman http://www.facebook.com/people/Zach-Kleiman/1496006665
