DMAIC and DMADV - Linking Innovation and Quality Improvement Efforts

Jim Stevenson -The define, measure, analyze, improve and control method works for updating existing products, but define, measure, analyze, design and verify (DMADV) is needed for new categories or products that are the first of their type. DMADV uses tools such as quality function deployment, creative problem solving, axiomatic design and lateral thinking.
