Joshua Claxton aka: Gloryboy Josh was born and raised in St. Louis Missouri and relocated to Sacramento California in 2016, and has already immersed himself in the local music scene.  Gloryboy Josh was raised by his single mother along with his five siblings. During his childhood, he was surrounded by the sounds of 80's - 90's Soul/ R&B/ and Gospel music.  His true passion for music didn't start until the age of 7. 

Today Gloryboy Josh is a phenomenal singer inspired by Anthony Hamilton, Jon B, Luther Vandross, Tamela Mann. 

Gloryboy Josh has won and also been nominated for many awards ever since his music career led him to California. One of the awards Joshua has received was the KLJN 107.7 'Rising Star' award in 2017 along with the 'Best New Artist Of The Year' Award at the Bay Area Black Music Awards. He has been nominated in two categories at the 2018 Northern California Entertainers Music Awards for the 'New Artist Of The Year' & for the 'Teen Artist Of The Year' category.

His new hit single 'Fly Away' will debut on many local California radio stations including QLJN RADIO and is available on all digital outlets.
