The month of September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. In honor of such join myself and others as information will be shared to raise awareness on the stigmatized and often taboo topic. Today with all that is going on in the world suicide attempts are on the rise. Information, education and resources can be helpful with shifting the public's perception as it relates to suicide as well as suicide attempts. It is important that one know the warning signs and risk factors of suicide. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among young adults. It is also preventable.
