What Makes a Happy Couple Happy?

    in Women

Whether you're in love and want to make it better, or are alone and want to get it right next time, relationship expert Kim Olver reveals the hidden truths behind happiness and satisfaction.
Secrets of Happy Couples is different from other books of the same subject because it is based on one basic truth—that all great relationships begin and end with yourself. Any relationship is the sum of its parts: individuals. This book explores how you, as an individual, can make the difference and create a happy and fulfilling relationship with your partner.
No other book has surveyed couples. Olver also interviewed prominent relationship experts and included their ideas in the book. She discusses the Relationship Cycle, beginning in the Alone Stage, moving to the Getting Together Stage, on to the Compatibility Stage, to the Maintenance Stage, and then back to the Alone Stage. At least 50% of us will find ourselves alone again due to death, divorce or personal decision. Kim doesn’t shy away from that fact; instead she provides tips and strategies to successfully navigate the grief of a lost relationship.
Secrets of Happy Couples: Loving Yourself, Your Partner, and Your Life will provide you with the answer to how you too can be happy and satisfied in your relationship with your significant other.
Join our host, Kelli Claypool, as she talks with Kim about the Secrets of Happy Couples.

Have you ever heard someone say that they are "in the process" of something? Some of us hook up with people who are in the process of getting employed, getting out of a situation, getting a home or car or anything they are "in the process" of doing.  The bottom line is that whatever it is they are in the process of, it is not completed!  Lets talk about this for a while because too many of us find ourselves involved and investing in things that are far from complete.
This weeks INspiration: In process does not mean completed!
F.O.C.U.S Women's Global Conference coming October 6-8, 2017 registration is open!

Intimate Relationships: What Do You Wish Your Parents Had Told You ?

    in Women

The "Birds and the Bees." The "talk." Whatever we call it, somebody is supposed to tell us something before we get married so that we understand that intimate experience with our spouse. We need to know more than the "how to's" of body parts. In today's uncensored multi-media our children learn about the mechanics of sex before they get out of kindergarten.  But yet, we don't have the knowledge we need to form healthy, long lasting relationships. Simply telling teenagers "Just say no" to sex isn't giving them understanding of the emotional needs of a spouse. Who prepares us for the personal spiritual connection created by intimacy with another human being? If we understood things better, would we have made better choices? Even in religious communities, adults are still fumbling when it comes to preparation for that moment when "the two shall become one." Most men realistically were told nothing about a woman's body or her mind, other than what to say to get her to say "yes." Women know little or nothing about men's anatomy, and even less about their emotions. Why are we still so ignorant about each other despite all of this free information? What do you wish your parents had told you about relationships when you were a teenager so that you could have been better prepared as an adult to form a successful, fulfilling, long lasting relationship? What are you telling your sons and daughters?
