    Tanya Harris Reese is a native of Leslie, Georgia. She is the sixth child of nine children. Her parents are the late McKinley and Ozie Harris. She was educated in the Sumter County School System. She is a graduate of South Georgia Technical College, with a degree in Information Technology. Also, a graduate of Grantham University with an Associate Degree in Medical Billing and Coding. Evangelist Reese is now pursuing her Bachelors in Pastoral Counseling. Tanya is em...ployed with Open Arms Inc. of Albany Ga., which is an organization that help runway and homeless youth.
    As no stranger to service, she founded and operates Touched and Transformed Ministries, Inc., which was birthed in response to her passion for teen mothers and hurting women. One of Tanya’s greatest joys is her service to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! She was the amour bearer for 23 years to the late great Overseer Rosa K. Fowler, which was also her sister of Americus Holiness Deliverance Temple, now she serving as the Associate Pastor of Americus Holiness Deliverance Temple under the leadership of Pastor Michael L. Fowler Sr. Tanya is the devoted wife of twenty-three years to David Reese.
    She is the beloved mother of four beautiful children, she is also the adored grandmother of nine grandchildren. In her spare time, Tanya loves mentoring young women and spending time with her family. Tanya’s motto for life is: “Make a statement, Live life with Purpose.

    I am not a "disgrace to women" because I don't support the women's march. I do not feel I am a "second class citizen" because I am a woman. I do not feel my voice is "not heard" because I am a woman. I do not feel I am not provided opportunities in this life or in America because I am a woman. I do not feel that I "don't have control of my body or choices" because I am a woman. I do not feel like I am " not respected or undermined" because I am a woman. I am not a "victim" because you say I am.I AM a woman.  I can make my own choices.,,. I do not blame my circumstances or problems on anything other than my own choices  Saudi Arabia, women can't drive, no rights and must always be covered. China and India, infantcide of baby girls. Afghanistan, unequal education rights. Democratic Republic of Congo, where rapes are brutal and women are left to die, or HIV infected and left to care for children alone. Mali, where women can not escape the torture of genital mutilation. Pakistan, in tribal areas where women are gang raped to pay for men's crime. Guatemala, the impoverished female underclass of Guatemala faces domestic violence, rape and the second-highest rate of HIV/AIDS after sub-Saharan Africa. An epidemic of gruesome unsolved murders has left hundreds of women dead, some of their bodies left with hate messages. Or the 7 year old girls being sold or married off to 60 year old men, Or the millions of women sold and bought

    The St. John Festival is a month-long event that starts with steel pan performances & pageants, then builds up to the week of July 3rd (Emancipation Day) and the 4th (Independence Day). That final week is party time with the big events: the Village, the Food Fair, & the Parade.
    Carnival is the biggest annual event in the Virgin Islands & throughout the Caribbean. In the US Virgin Islands: VI Carnival on St. Thomas in April/May; the St. John Festival in June/July; & St. Croix’s Crucian Christmas Carnival in Dec./Jan. In the British Virgin Islands: the BVI Emancipation Festival on Tortola in July/Aug. & the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival in April.
