Tonight- Activists have persuaded the city of Ferndale to not accept money obtained by the Sheriff-funded by participating medical marijuana patients and caregivers in the state registry program- for the purposes of increasing police enforcement against cannabis users. The Michigan Township association made medical marijuana issue number one at the most recent meeting held for township officials on planning and zoning issues. Discussion: It does not appear as though cannabis will be rescheduled on the federal list of controlled substances with the blessing of the DEA- anytime soon. Would rescheduling cannabis to schedule II be better, worse or represent no significant change to existing state medical or adult personal use laws?
