Interview with Cynthia Nelson, COO of Todobebe. Todobebe (www.todobebe.com) is a Spanish-language media company targeting mothers and families with original content via web, TV, radio, event promotion. The entire premise of the company was to develop a trusted resource for women looking for information centered on pregnancy and raising families. The company started as a digital resource when the co-founder was looking for pregnancy-related content in Spanish to share with her family and couldn’t find it. They have various efforts within their programming where Todobebe gives back to people who are dedicating their time/energy to the community. Every year they hold an event that celebrates motherhood and family – last year’s became the largest known fiesta with more than 170,000 participants. 10,000 hosts received free gifts from select sponsors like Walmart, P&G, Nestle and Clorox. The entire business model is about creating community and sharing information to make raising families and being a mother easier.
