On the eleventh day of Write Stuff Christmas, Parker gave to me...

an eclectic view of end times...

lots of family drama...poetry from a survivor...the man who would not die...a sweet romantic story...South Dakota courage...God, me and aliens...theological thoughts about speculative fiction ... angelic wars ... curses and vows ... and a hand of steel!

The Book of Revelation! Some treat it like a futuristic comic book. Some consider it is too complex. Some worry about getting the interpretation wrong—or worse, get it right! Some read it trying to “break the code,” as if God had John write the book in a secret code expecting Christians to try & crack it. And then there are those who are terrified of the book and the images, so they just avoid it altogether. For them, ignorance is bliss.
.
Authors & podcasters Christine Paxson and Rose Spiller brings a theologically sound, scriptural approach to questions such as:

Where have we seen this before?
Is this passage meant to be taken literally, symbolically, or metaphorically?
Has this passage already been interpreted somewhere else in Scripture?
Does our conclusion of the passage line up with everything else in the Bible?
Is this passage telling us something new, or is it a picture of something already seen in the Old Testament or in other parts of the New Testament?
Using the same careful and systematic exegesis that should be used for interpreting all books of the Bible, The Final Exodus brings clarity & understanding to a book that is often mis-interpreted in chaotic and irresponsible ways. Join me for a fresh new look of the Book of Revelation with my guest co-hosts on Saturday, December 24th at a special time of 7pm Eastern. Listen in at 646-668-8485.
