American school teachers and principals are sanctioned to abuse our American school children by beating them or by using harmful seclusions and restraints on them. 20 US states and its territories allow teachers to beat their students with a wooden board on their buttocks as a form of discipline. The largest number of reports of this type of abuse comes from the state of Texas; second largest is Mississippi. 50 US states and its territories allow teachers to use harmful seclusions and restraints (time out in closets, boxes, small rooms and the use of duct tape over mouths, bungee cords, ropes, handcuffs and the like to tie students to chairs, desks, etc. for "time out"). Texas is number one for executing this practice and, believe it or not, California is number two (See Government Accountability Report 'GAO' on Home page of www.TheHittingStopsHere.com) This reckless and harmful behavior will impact the world that you live in tomorrow. By the time "health care" is available for all, much of it will be needed to meet the needs of those American school children affected by American school abuse, the thousands with whom you will share this great land. Please help our children to gain judicial relief, their US citizen right to be protected by the 14th amendment "equal protection" clause. Thank you, Paula Flowe, Exec. Director, The Hitting Stops Here! A campaign for teaching kindness and respect in schools everywhere. www.TheHittingStopsHere.com, info@thehittingstopshere.com
