It's holiday time! A time when customers are all a flurry, making their lists, checking them twice and in a state us marketing brats like to call "Urgency Eutopia". You see there's about sixty-thousand reasons why people don't want to make a purchase decision, but during this magical time of year, all those pretty much fly out the car window, on the way to the outlet mall. I love coaching my small business merchants through this season simply because it's a license for them to to be as creative (or assertive) as they want. We dial in everything from email list building (post-holiday marketing), implement motivating friends/family referral programs and OMG....the magic of the RSVP marketing strategy. Almost brings a tear to my eye when I think of how much we can do as small business merchants during this 30-45 day consumer buying blitz.
Today, we're going to lift the layers of three very cool, very powerful holiday marketing strategies. I'll recap how my clients did on their Black Friday marketing campaigns (maybe have one on the air to chat with us a bit) and then dive into what we are doing RIGHT NOW to leverage these last few days of the retail spending season. As a bonus, I'll share a few nuggets of how we are planning to kick off the new year with a e-blast bang! After all, just because gift giving season ends, doesn't mean our marketing work and opportunities are over ;-)
