Brittney Hamilton has spent the last 14  years working for the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Seattle, WA as a researcher in mental health and addictions. She earned her Master Degree in Psychology in 2003 from Seattle University and is the proud Army wife of SSG Christian Hamilton. Brittney joined Operation Ward 57 in 2007 as a volunteer Administrator before stepping up as Executive Director in 2011. She finds it extremely rewarding to work & volunteer her time for those who have served and those actively serving.

Operation Ward 57 takes its name from the “amputee ward” at Walter Reed Hospital, and has grown from a small, grass roots movement to a full blown non-profit organization designed to support and boost the morale of our service men and women on the ward and their families. This is visible in their mission statement: Support wounded warriors, their families and medical staff at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center by providing items that assist in recovery, maintenance and morale of the hospital environment and through advocacy, education and promotion of their circumstances.
