Going back to early 2009, Patriots Heart Network was very active in radio broadcasting on Blog Talk Radio. We had quite a group of dedicated and pioneering broadcasters who worked hard to bring the conservative voice to the public. This was about the time that blogging began to explode and Internet broadcasting platforms first began to emerge. Our small radio station was able to be a voice in that movement. Patriots Heart Network broadcasted the organizational meetings for the second and third TEA Parties during 2009 and 2010. The broadcasting platform allowed us to reach into all 50 states as each state coordinated TEA Parties together. It was meant to be a public forum. Smart Girl Politics, Grassfire, and the leadership team that later developed the Tea Party Patriots and Tea Party Express participated in these early broadcasts; as did many grassroots groups developing for the Tea Parties. Patriot's Heart Network broadcasters held some of the 1st live training classes on using Twitter. It was a lot of fun! We participated in hash tags when they first started, Our tag, #phnm, was a popular Conservative hash tag for many years. After 2010, we moved to a web-based news platform and bloggers community. We maintain our radio platform through intermittent broadcasts. While we are not actively broadcasting with a regular schedule, even today with over 1000 followers, we remain one of the most popular broadcasters on Blog Talk Radio.
