Let's deal with the 'D' word! As we go about our day, we often give little thought to our thoughts. We, for the most, are either functioning on auto pilot or we are reacting to events or the actions of others. Our habits have developmented routines which drive our action.  This is not bad, it is generally good.  We rise, we shower, we brush, comb, wipe, swipe, dress and get about our day. We get to where we are going and have similar routines.  This is normal and necessary.  But all the time our body is functioning on auto pilot, our brain is also churning out thoughts.  And our thoughts will decide our destiny. And once we discover that our destiny is dominated by our thoughts, we must give deference and discretion to what is driving these thoughts.  Are they moving us toward our dreams?  Are we devoted to these desires?  Or are we just deluding ourselfs and not really motivated in doing anything except getting through the day. The 'D' words in your vocabulary will either be dynamic and daring, and lead you to your destiny, or they will defuse your desires with thoughts that dampen your determination and ultimately crush your spirit. I know it sounds dramitice, but it is a choice. You decide. Sounds too darn simple. It has to be more complicated.  No it's not.  Deep inside the recesses of your fertile mind, lies a genie. It is called our Attention.  And to whatever we pay attention to, is what the Genie will grant us. Our Intention then should be to pay Attention to our Intentions.  Whatever we intend to do should be the focus of our Attention. The Genie will then react to our Attention.  And, just like Aladdin’s Genie, our wish becomes the Genie’s command. Our Problem is the Not the Genie.  The Genie always works for us. Our Problem in our Attention.  Our Attention is everywhere. We shift our Focus daily, if not by the hour. When we shift our focus, the Genie’s focus is also shifted.  And before one wish can be granted, we are shifting our Attention and asking for another wish. We then have the ‘zigzag’ pattern of asking for an intention, then asking for another, then moving to a third, then to another. The pattern repeats so often, we can’t focus on a single wish. And we become:  wishy-washy in our life.
