Join Dr. Mike Robinson on Sunday, December 16, 2012 for several informative discussions regarding:
· Student Achievement and Parent Support
· Civic Involvement and Creating A High Performing School System
· How Local Government Increases Its Connection with Residents
Dr. Robinson's first guest is Mr. Victor A Kwansa a graduate of Prince George's County Public Schools who went on to earn degrees from Yale and Harvard Universities. Mr. Kwansa will speak about the role his parents played and continue to play in his life as the reasons for his success. He attributes their engagement in his academics as his foundation to strive academically.
Later Dr. Robinson will be joined by Prince George's District 6 Council Member Derrick Davis. Council Member Davis has several key initiatives underway and in development aimed at boosting student achievement and closing achievement gaps across Prince George's County. One of the more interesting developments currently being discussed by the Council Member is a desire for a "Forensic Audit" of the Prince George's County Public School System, the 18th largest in the Country.
Finally, Dr. Robinson hopes to be joined by Mr. Musa Eubanks, Esq., Director, Community Relations with Prince George's County Government, who will offer updates on some of the County's efforts to increase its responsiveness to residents of the County.
You do not want to miss these great conversations.
