But when it involves betraying your word, your principles, or other important commitments, it takes a bite out of your passion and vitality, trapping you in a web of nagging doubts and regrets or even dread and remorse. Sadly, certain common misconceptions about compromise mean we can fall into this trap unknowingly, making a sort of “devil’s bargain by degrees.” Even worse, this can happen while working for companies and leaders we otherwise respect and admire. Our special guest this week is Elizabeth Doty, a business storyteller in the trenches. She is a consultant, coach, and facilitator specializing in how people participate in large organizations while staying true to themselves and being a positive force – however they define those. Since earning her MBA from Harvard and joining a reengineering firm in 1991, Ms. Doty has both subscribed to the "official story" of business and lived through the contradictions and absurdities of everyday organizational life. Prior to business school, she worked in the hospitality industry, where she served as a manager for more than eleven years, mostly in four-star hotels. Is it the biggest hoax or... the most important story in human history? You'll find the startling answer in this remarkable, true-life story about how a young Swiss boy's meetings with extraterrestrials would eventually lead him later in life through dozens of countries, meeting many famous world leaders - including Saddam Hussein - in order to fulfill ancient prophecies. This one-armed farmer from Switzerland has taken hundreds of the most startling photos in UFO History and has even filmed what he refers to as "Beam Ships" used by sentient beings that hail from a star system near the Pleiades. He has been able to produce photographs, film footage, sound recordings and even metal samples as evidence of his visitations. Their message is clear: earth is in trouble, the people have been asleep, and we must make drastic changes or there will be devastating consequences for all of mankind. 01:00:00Papa Zennoentertainment, politics, current events, authors, jazzIn 1958, Billy Meier predicted the Iraq Wars, AIDS and global warming. AMAZON BEST SELLER WINNER: 2008 Next Generation Indie Book Award for Best New Age Non-Fiction Thirty-five years ago, Janet Smith Warfield had an unexpected mystical experience. Words she had learned as a child in Sunday school suddenly became crystal clear. In an instant, she understood their meaning. Nothing outside her changed. Her surroundings were exactly as they had been moments before. Yet everything changed. She was suddenly looking at the same world through different eyes. As Janet struggled to put words to this mind-boggling experience, she realized that no one understood. How could she use divisive, analytical words to communicate a unifying, holistic experience? It was a question Janet wrestled with for years. Words were only illusions, dancing at a masked ball. They were only fingers pointing at the moon. They were not the moon. Nevertheless, there was a moon behind the word illusions. There was a unifying, holistic experience. There was a Human Truth Puzzle that could be put together. In fact, it had been put together, over and over, by person after person throughout history. Words were one piece of that Human Truth Puzzle. Each person who solved the Puzzle used different words to point to the solution. As lawyer, mediator, poet, author, wife, mother, and grandmother, she has become a powerful word sculptor who knows how to bring peace into troubled lives. 01:00:00Papa Zennoentertainment, politics, current events, authors, jazzOur guest tonight is Author, Janet Smith Warfield. Through her seminars, workshops, retreats, speaking engagements, and new bestselling book, Paving it Forward, international speaker, author, and owner of RnR Wellness Elisabeth Fayt (say Fate) teaches others how to use their thoughts and intentions to pre-pave a new road to the best possible day and life. In tough economic times, it is easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of negativity. This is when it is more important than ever to pay close attention to the road you are paving. According to Elisabeth, "I believe the best thing you can do for someone is to teach them to change their thought. Then they can create happiness for themselves, at will, regardless of any circumstance or environment." The roadmap given to most people when they are children is often less than helpful. Through pre-paving, Elisabeth teaches how to create a new roadmap, one that takes people where they want to go – to health, wealth, and love. Her students learn how to respond to their circumstances in a powerful way by learning to use the energy of thought and energy of intention to create the roadmap they desire. The power of her teachings led her to be one of the featured speakers in The Opus Movie, deemed as the next step after The Secret. 01:00:00Papa Zennoentertainment, politics, current events, authors, jazzWhen someone is on the road to nowhere, can they just pave a new road? ECHOage is a charity-driven and eco-friendly birthday party service where children learn the value of giving and receiving while celebrating. DEBBIE ZINMAN, one of the co-founders joins us from Toronto. . . Their neighbors' generosity inspired LIONEL AND MISHA THOMPSON to found GIVING ANONYMOUSLY. A few years ago, when they were dealing with family and financial difficulties, their neighbors provided an unexpected outpouring of generosity. Donors log on to the organization's website, specify the amount they would like to give, and Giving Anonymously sends a check to the indicated recipient. The service is meant to remove the potential awkwardness that may come when someone tries to give money to a loved one face-to-face, and ensures the recipient will agree to accept the donation. Speaking to NBC News, Misha described how her conflicted feelings about others' kindness provided inspiration for the website. "I remember standing there feeling ashamed that [neighbors] had to bring us groceries, but also thinking, 'When we come through this season, I don't want another mom to feel like how I felt'," she explained. Recipients are encouraged to call a hotline and leave a voicemail to confirm they have received the gift, for the benefit of their anonymous "guardian angel." 02:00:00Papa Zennoentertainment, politics, current events, authors, jazzJIM BICKFORD used to be a police officer. CLARE NOVAK;"Never Rule Without A Magician, A Sage and A Fool" . Have we got your attention? Who's got YOUR back? Leadership excellence is easier when leaders wisely enlist three key advisors-Magician, Sage and Fool. EVE LUPPERT; Has a history of leading firms through big change and becoming great places to work and profitable too. She was part of the big experiment in the 1980's creating the first real virtual office in the US at Chiat/Day Advertising inc. What she is passionate about right now is how this economy is going to change the relationship between workers and their companies. It's been a long time since the economy has impacted so many, and we have at least 2 generations in the work place that are dumbfounded by what has happened to their companies. NEILL NEWTON; Chairman & Founder of Global Flying Hospitals is a proud Aussie - Passionate? He has labored 8 years on building Global Flying Hospitals - his business partner died in the process, he has suffered immeasurable set-backs, toxic people and red tape horrors ... and through it he discovered tenacity and discipline he never knew he had ... and to himself and his team, this is the new paradigm of humanitarian medical healthcare on the planet - a total-immersion program to lift developing countries up by their bootstraps to make them self-sufficient and sustainable ... so to thier mind, that is visionary and futuristic.
