Listen to the Sat. June 6, 2020 edition of the Pan-African Journal: Worldwide Radio Broadcast hosted by Abayomi Azikiwe, editor of the Pan-African News Wire. The program features our regular PANW report with dispatches on the continuing mass demonstrations throughout the United States and internationally in response to the brutal police execution of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25. Since the beginning of the mass demonstrations and rebellions, the federal, state and local authorities have escalated repressive measures resulting in deaths and arrests. Pentagon leaders are attempting to publicly distance themselves from the White House. However, the acts of police misconduct continue in efforts to quell the unrest. During the second and third hours we look at reports from international new agencies on the current situation in the U.S.
