Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is a complete medical system, thousands of years old, that takes a deep understanding of the laws and patterns of nature and applies them to the human body.

TCM is holistic in its approach – viewing the body, mind, spirit and emotions as an integrated whole, rather than disconnected parts to be treated separately. It also includes preventative medicine, which is designed to prevent the body from getting sick. Some of the treatment modalities used in this comprehensive system include: acupuncture, herbal therapy, foods for healing and the psychology of emotions and their relationship to the internal organ system.

Today on Going Shamanic your host Jennifer Engracio chats with Dr. Tanya Gee, a TCM doctor living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Her infectious laughter and grounded approach to health and well-being is worth listening to.
