Join The Arc of Luzerne County for a conversation about Pennsylvania's Initiative on Assistive Technology (PIAT), with Sandra McNally, Assistant Director, Community Services at the Institute on Disabilities at Temple University. She is Program Director for PIAT, and coordinates other funded statewide assistive technology activities, including the Telecommunication Device Distribution Program (TDDP) and iCanConnectPA. Sandi is a parent of two children with disabilities, and holds a Master’s Degree from Temple University.

PIAT leads the Commonwealth's efforts to implement the provisions of the federal Assistive Technology Act of 1998, as amended, and strives to enhance the lives of all Pennsylvanians with disabilities, older Pennsylvanians, and their families, through access to and acquisition of assistive technology devices and services, which allow for choice, control and independence at home, work, school, play, and in their neighborhoods.

"For people without disabilities, technology makes things easier. For people with disabilities, technology makes things possible."
