Poetry Adidict With Host Jennifer Donnell

Join us For The First Poetry Addict hosted by Jennifer Donnell with her First Guest Kim Noriega Kim Noriega was born in Cleveland, Ohio, where she learned to love apple trees in the spring, nut roll at Christmas, the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge at dusk and the West Side Farmers’ Market at 5:30 AM, which is when all the European grandmothers shopped—string bags in hand, babushkas tied neatly beneath their chins—for the day’s meals. She moved to Southern California in her late 20’s (more or less on a dare) where she’s learned to love the subtle seasons, long beach walks in Coronado in February and never needing to de-ice her door locks or shovel anything but sand. Kim teaches poetry to adults and teens in recovery homes and public libraries, and facilitates family literacy programs for low-literate adults with small children, to help them break the cycle of intergenerational low literacy. She lives in San Diego with her husband, Ernie, and daughter, Leiha.
