In the first hour of the show, Dr. Hildy welcomes guest Dr. Leslie A. Lyons, world famous cat geneticist, to discuss the feline genetics.
A professor at the University of Missouri, Dr. Lyons’ research focuses on the genetics of the domestic cat and the development of genetic tools and resources that assist gene mapping in the cat and other companion animals. MORE >>>>

In the second hour of the show, Dr. Hildy welcomes a returning guest, film producer Veronica Hendricks, to discuss Dr. Hildy’s new book, Cricket the K-Town Kitty: A Tale of Who I Am. Cricket is Dr. Hildy’s own calico cat. Born feral, Cricket was found and taken to Kitt Crusaders in Los Angeles, a cat rescue shelter. When Cricket was 5 months old, she was adopted by Dr. Hildy. The book explores Cricket’s lineage - as all domestic cats are descendants of big cat breeds - as well as how cats have evolved over time. MORE >>>>
