JESUS CHRIST CAME TO EARTH TO TEACH AND ULTIMATELY DIE FOR US SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LIVE FOR ETERNITY. WHEN WE COMMIT TO HIM, WE SAY THAT WE WILL LIVE FOR HIM, THAT WE WILL PUT HIM FIRST. SADLY, WE MORTALS OFTEN FAIL AND IT BRINGS UP THE QUESTION OF WHAT WE MUST DO TO COMPLETE OUR COMMITMENT. OFTEN WE SEE EXAMPLES AROUND US OF WHAT IS EXPECTED OF US, YET THEY MAKE US UNCOMFORTABLE. AND WE OFTEN LIKE TO SHY AWAY FROM THEM. ONE SUCH EXAMPLE IS UNFOLDING RIGHT NOW AS A BRAVE COUNTY COURT CLERK IN KENTUCKY IS LIVING HER COMMITMENT, AN ACT WHICH IS CAUSING HER TO SIT IN A LONELY JAIL CELL RIGHT NOW INSTEAD OF BEING HOME WITH HER HUSBAND AND FAMILY. DO WE HAVE IT IN US TO MAKE SUCH A COMMITMENT FOR JESUS AND WHAT HE EXPECTS OF US OR WILL WE JUST SHRUG IT OFF AND GO ON LIVING OUR INCOMPLETE LIVES WITH LIP SERVICE TO HIM ONLY? IT'S A GOOD QUESTION FOR TODAY AND ULTIMATELY ONE WE MUST ANSWER IF WE TRULY ACCEPT HIM. WE'LL DISCUSS IT IN OUR UPCOMING SUNDAY MORNING COMING DOWN. IT'S BEING BROADCAST EARLY, BUT WILL BE AVAILABLE ON DEMAND AS ALWAYS. I HOPE YOU'LL JOIN US.
