Special education students and educators have faced extraordinary difficulties with the school closures – and face even more challenges with the reopening of schools.  With a new school year beginning, there is a need to evaluate and assess the status of special education students. Which students need assessments? What are the challenges of performing evaluations in a pandemic? What guidance has been provided by the NJDOE? In this podcast Christine Soto a partner with the law firm of Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt, Capelli, Tipton and Taylor, LLC will discuss these and other legal issues surrounding the evaluation process with NJSBA’s Ray Pinney.
