With the advent of social media, bullying no longer just occurs on school grounds.  It can occur off-campus, on weekends and at non-school related events.  What are the district’s responsibilities when bullying occurs off-campus and/or outside the confines of the school day, but the conduct impacts its students at school?   This session will explore the boundaries of the school-house gate when it involves cyberbullying and how technology and altered this evolving landscape.  Please join NJSBA host Ray Pinney as he discusses these issues and other HIB issues with Marc Zitomer, a partner in the law firm Schenck, Price, Smith & King LLP and Chair of its Education Practice Group.
