Celebrities get away with murder (figuratively and literally). Yesterday "rapper" 50 Cent posted on his Twitter page, "If you a man and your over 25 and you don't eat pu**y just kill your self damn it. The world will be a better place. Lol" Lol?" This tweet was re-tweeted by 100+ people in less than 24 hours. Teen suicide among Gays/Lesbians is at a shocking high. The recent suicide deaths of Seth Walsh, Asher Brown, Billy Lucas and most recently Tyler Clementi, the 18-year-old Rutgers student who jumped off the George Washington Bridge earlier this week after his roommate streamed a video of him having a sexual encounter with a man on-line. The 1st Amendment protects freedom of speech but what if that speech incites violence and spreads hate? Should hateful speech that is disseminated by celebrities with millions of followers be held accountable?
