TR KIDDER for this show.  We will be examining the often overlooked subject of prehistoric climate change across the Gulf Coast area over 3000 years ago and the Poverty Point, Louisiana archaeological site.  How did such a preeminent ceremonial center become suddenly abandoned and what climatic events were associated with its demise?  How did the Archaic peoples respond to the loss of their "Vatican" and the environmental devastation?  What can we learn from that time period that is applicable to our environmental issues of today?
