Women and children are victimized at alarming rates, and most assaults occur domestically. We are taught by examples both blatantly and subliminally, to keep home matters quiet, to avoid the possibilities of even more dire effects. We wear cosmetics to cover scars, whether than repair our foundations to heal wounds. We dress either too conservatively, or loosely, disguising and/ or trying to fit in. We keep secrets; safeguarding things that are, or should be prohibited, as if making the violation taboo will make it stop, vanish or erase from memory. And worst of all... We are often so programmed by society to hate ourselves (our images, our voices, our lineages, and our race) that we subconsciously hate each other, thus passing on the torch of emptiness. We compare and judge each other; the prettiest is admired, but loathed simultaneously. The wealthy or happy are envied with contempt. We even go as far to BLAME OURSELVES for the abuse that absolutely, no one, ever, deserves. Well, we need to WAKE-UP!!! It's time to see the significance in ourselves and each other. It's time to disrobe of the disillusion that we have to be competitive, secretive, envious and at fault of abuse. Plain and simple…We need to Stand-Up and Up-Lift each other! Man, Woman and Child!! But since children and women are the most vulnerable… Let’s all take a stand in helping each other thrive, by sharing our experiences for wisdom and strength. Let’s lookout for our children and practice accountability instead of division. Let’s reflect the GOD within our souls. YES – the GOD within our souls, by being loving, nurturing, empathetic and protective.
