This former walkon is the epitome of the term "sleeper" in the 2012 draft class.  Mario Louis entered Grambling as a basic student who played intramural football but was encouraged by all of his friends to try out for the football team.

He became a member of the team in 2009 and in a couple of seasons, Louis also became the team's most explosive playmaker.  In 2011 Mario caught 51 passes for 1,129 yards and 18 touchdowns and drew high praise from his coaches.

Grambling Head Coach Doug Williams has a very high opinion of his playmaking receiver; “I was scouting for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and I was in Montgomery, Ala., at the Blue-Gray Game,” Williams said. “There was a guy named Terrell Owens there and he was the sixth man on his Chattanooga basketball team. Mario is the closest thing to Terrell, from what we’ve done and what he’s capable of doing.”

Joe Everett sits down with the Grambling State Tiger to discuss his college career and pro prospects.
