Join Host Joe Lisi (former ABC Sports college football researcher) as he speaks with former UW and NFL S Tony Parrish.

Parrish was a standout safety for the University of Washington and was a lethal hitter in one of the best secondaries in the NCAA. Parrish was a dominating safety who loved to come up in run support and dominate opposing ball carriers. He was excellent in pass coverage as well and took great angles in cutting down the field against opposing quarterbacks. He was the team captain of the 1997 team and became a 2nd round draft pick in the 1998 NFL Draft (35th overall) by the Chicago Bears.

Parrish had an outstanding career in the NFL and had 634 total tackles with 5 sacks and 30 interceptions.

Parrish was a workout warrior who was the strongest safety in the league during his tenure. Parrish was a complete safety and able to force opposing offenses to change their game plan because of his attacking style of play.

Parrish played for the Bears (1998-2001), 49'ers (2002-2006) and the Cowboys (2006). He recently played in the Legends of Candlestick Park event on Jul 12th and returned an interception from Dan Marino for a touchdown.
