Join Host Joe Lisi (former ABC Sports college football researcher) as he speaks with former Rutgers running back Joe Martinek. Martinek was the 2006 NJ Gatorade players of the year and finsihed his high school career as the state's All-Time leading rusher with 7,589 rushing yards. He is the first player to rush for over 7,000 rushing yards in a high school career in the state of New Jersey and went on to star at Rutgers University from 2008-2012.
At Rutgers, Martinek rushedfor 1,770 yards averaging 4.5 yards per carry with 17 touchdowns. He could catch the ball out of the backfield and had 46 career receptions for the Scarlet Knights for 448 yards and a touchdown.
In 2012, Martinek was an undrafted free agent and played for the New York Giants.
