Jennifer talks with Penny Morgan a photographer who lives in the heart of Suffolk about her photographic work in many different avenues. She started her career by attending a course in graphic design and later she attended the Norwich School of Photography, after being told that she should work professionally as a photographer. Penny works mainly in the Bury St Edmunds area but she also travels far and wide. She can be seen working taking pictures of dance, theatre, equestrian events, weddings and family portraits. Over the years she has come to question how the media portray us and how this effects how we feel about having our picture taken. By forming a good relationship with your photographer through communication, it is possible to achieve a set of photographs that we feel happy and comfortable with. Penny and Jennifer explore 'but I'm not photogenic', along with issues of self esteem and
the pressure of the vast expectations we put on ourselves. What is the right image to use in social media? We are living in a culture which highly relies on photographs as a representation of who we are but do we any longer know who we are? Penny gives us photography tips on why it is vital to have a smile that is both a professional image and brings us joy!
