In a recent forum, Treasury and HUD hosted a conference on The Future of Housing Finance. Stakeholders from across the industry participated and shared a diverse set of perspectives. The goal is to deliver a comprehensive housing reform proposal by January 2011. But for the minority community, there is much at stake here as discussions veer toward the future of the GSEs and possibly CRAs, which would affect access to credit for underserved borrowers. Getting the right reform measures in place is critical for Hispanics, Blacks & Asian consumers. Tune in for this discussion with special guests: Armando Falcon, NAHREP Policy Advisor and Political Consultant; Jim Park, President of AREAA/New Vista; Tom Deutsch, Executive Director of the American Securitization Forum.
