Tonight's special guest is Suzi Patrick from Texas, a survivor of child abuse, spousal abuse and legal abuse. "Now my son is suffering the same abuses at the hands of his father," she reports. "As a child I want through physical and emotional abuse at the hands of my mother who for some reason always seemed to resent me. If it weren’t for my grandmother and my uncle, I don’t know where I would be today." Suzi goes on, "None of this ever happened to my brother. He seemed to never be able to do anything wrong. So obviously this takes an emotional toll on you as well as physical. I then moved into two abusive marriages. The second abuser, even though we’ve been divorced since 2012, continued there’s abuse through the Family Court system and now through the guardianship court." She's not just thinking of herself. "My immediate concern is for my son Shane, who has special needs. He’s gone through childhood abuse and continues to be abused as an adult that has special needs. His father has mastered the art of legal abuse and continues to use the legal system to abuse both of us now through the guardianship court. We went through Family Court abuse for years. As we all know, the legal system wants to keep you bound for as long as they can." But Suzi remains hopeful. "On the bright side, I have been in my first healthy relationship for about six years now. Jim is a good man and has been an amazing help in my healing process. I am nowhere near completely healed but having someone who knows what a healthy relationship is like is a very good start."
