My guest Denise de Bombelles joined the Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLB) Office of Finance in August of 2003. Ms. De Bombelles is responsible for designing and implementing a global investor outreach program to expand the FHLB investor base and develop capital markets for the debt funding program that totaled US$2.1 trillion in issuance in 2012. Institutional investors include central banks, large asset managers, state treasuries and pension and insurance companies. Prior to her tenure at the FHLB Office of Finance, Ms. de Bombelles spent four years at Freddie Mac in debt marketing, branding the Reference Notes® Global debt and FreddieNotes® programs and actively building the investor base for the full spectrum of multi-currency debt securities for institutional and retail investors.
Before a career in financial marketing, Ms. de Bombelles was a public relations and protocol consultant for foreign governments in Washington, D.C. She holds a BA in literature and art history from the University of Michigan and an MBA in finance from The George Washington University. She has two children and resides in Washington, D.C.
