OPENS THE SHOW - The band Handful Of Luvin' is out of the Seattle/Bellingham area of Seattle and have been working their craft as a band since 2005, but the band's origins go back even further than that. The band calls their sound "Fiddle driven roots rock" and they bring the goods. We will talk with the band and discover the music on their latest album LIFE IN BETWEEN.
SEGMENT BEGINS AT THE 52:20 MARK - Nancy Apple has been dubbed the "Queen of Country in Memphis" by Memphis Magazines City Guide, and the "Princess of Twang" by Memphis' daily paper the Commercial Appeal. But she is not just an ordinary country artist. Nancy brings her rock and roll influences to her songs. She has been nominated dozens of times for a Premier Player Award in Memphis in the songwriting, Female Vocalist and Community Service categories, and was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition in 2002 and 2003. Nancy gives of herself on and off the stage. She has appeared with a collection of artists that would impress any music fan. Her latest release SHINE is a collection of fun, rockin' country-flavored earworms...the good kind!
