Feeding a family organic can seem completely unattainable at times.  This week on Momstinct Radio, we'll talk about what it takes to buy healthier, organic foods without going completely broke.   Minde Herbert of Affordably Organic, teaches others how to eat well and organically on a tight budget. As a mother of twins she understands how important it is to keep the costs  from ruling the entire budget. Yet sometimes another problem is ruling the menu, and that's TIME. We have days where cooking a meal or being at home isn't in the works and a drive-thru looks like your savior.  There are options that you may not have thought of!  Emily Goodwin of MommyMadeGreen is a mom on a mission to help other moms discover that being green doesn’t have to be hard, or expensive! Emily will be sharing her tricks of eating out wisely, and getting the kids to love it! 01:01:00Momstinct Radionoorganic, parenting, budget, health, naturalWe care about what we eat, but we don't want our entire lives and budgets to revolve around it. Breastfeeding Talk LIVE-World Breastfeeding Month This week, in honor of World Breastfeeding Month, we will be discussing  everything from basics to the unexpected in breastfeeding.   Claire Eden of  Atlanta Breastfeeding Consultants will join us to as we talk about what a baby friendly hospital should look like and the impact maternity care practices can have on your breastfeeding. She will answer questions about biological nursing and how moms can work toward a laid back nursing relationship without the stress. Yet for some it's not that easy, or not even doable at all, and moms have to decide where to go from there. We will hear from Zoe Reid from Eats on Feets  about breastmilk sharing as an option that many moms would never have thought of or heard of! Every mother wants to feed her baby the best way possible, and the answer to what that is may not always be the same. This week's show is offered to help give you some information, and hopefully some confidence, about breastmilk and feeding your baby.   00:59:00Momstinct Radionobreastfeeding, pregnancy, parenting, nursing, motherhoodThis week, in honor of World Breastfeeding Month, we will be discussing  everything from basics to the unexpected in breastfeeding.   Claire Eden of  AtlantaDetoxing Your Makeup Bag with FrugalFaye.comhttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/momstinct/2013/08/09/detoxing-your-makeup-bag-with-frugalfayecomParentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/momstinct/2013/08/09/detoxing-your-makeup-bag-with-frugalfayecom/#commentshttp://www.blogtalkradio.com/momstinct/2013/08/09/detoxing-your-makeup-bag-with-frugalfayecomFri, 09 Aug 2013 01:00:00 GMTDetoxing Your Makeup Bag with FrugalFaye.com When I was a kid I remember one of my mother's friends was selling some sort of makeup. I don't remember what it was or what it looked like, I only remember her saying "It's so safe, you can eat it!" and then going on to tell a story about her son snacking on some lipstick or eyeliner.  The idea of makeup being safe has stuck with me every since, although I don't believe my mom bought any.  I've searched through different brands and ingredients to find what seems safe, if not edible. This week's guest is Rachael from FrugalFaye.com.  She went through her makeup and did a whole detox, and did it in sucha simple way that it looks pretty easy!!  She's going to tell us about it and answer any questions you have about the process.   Also... Rachael doesn't use SHAMPOO!! or conditioner. Umm.. and this girl has some lovely locks.  She's one of those "No Poo" extremists and she's made it look so simple that I'm actually trying it myself.  I haven't washed my hair with product since before last Thursday's show. Listen in to see what I think! About Rachael: My name is Rachael, but I am known to my friends and family as "Faye;" I'm just a simple Midwestern girl.  My husband whisked me away to Northern California where I am SAHM to my two girls.  I blog about homemaking without debt and natural living.  One of my missions is to take overwhelming tasks (or ideas) and break them down into something totally do-able!
