Yes, Mitt Romney won Florida last night and we'll get to that. But more dismaying was news that the Susan G. Komen Foundation announced that they would no longer fund Planned Parenthood for cancer screenings, due to a flimsy new policy predicated on a flimsy Congressional investigation into the small number of abortions the organization provides as part of its entire range of health services. Planned Parenthood clinics are often the ONLY free or low-cost health provider for low-income families, and the Komen Foundation's action will deprive thousands of women of screenings for cervical and breast cancer. This latest assault on Planned Parenthood comes amid the outcry at radical anti-abortion leader Randall Terry's successful ploy to force NBC to run graphic anti-abortion advertising during this year's SuperBowl.
