All over the nation, local rebellion against tax increase asks and the incumbent political class is at a fever pitch. Missouri is no different. In fact, Missouri might be riding the crest of the wave.

In several local elections, resistence to increased taxes for almost any purpose are gatting more organized and more vocal. Tax deniers are buying campaign signs, organizing media campaigns, and doing door-to-door active campaigning. Has big government finally met its match?

And the political class is stepping back to lick wounds after several highly visible loses. Watching future races, third party and insurgent party outsiders are making major waves. Is this a "new awakening" in the voting populace or just a passing fad?
