Its very alaming. So much so that during that time, especially around the time that the gender war started on social media, I've always wanted to do something to affect positive change in that regard... So I've decided to write a book.  I would really like us to focus on how to treat each other with respect and learn how to influence the children who see us act out daily against each other. I'd also like to see our communities all over America flourish.  So please, if you will, call in and chat with me about this subject. Lets create a NEW foundation on learning to respect each other so that we never have to war with each other again.  Peace and love,  Storm 00:43:00Storm Enoblack men, black women, black children, love, self hatredExploring the reasons why black men and women have been at odds with each other and what affect it has on the fall of our community. The Death of Hip Hop: Can She Be Revived? All I have been seing in the news are stories about us either hurting each other or being hurt by forces who have yet to pay for their crimes against humanity. We as a community of black men and black women are way over due when it comes to teaching our children how to navigate through life in this country, in this world So I'll invite you to join me on my quest to at least cause a ripple effect accross the airwaves, and deep into the veins of our communities and make change happen... But Before we can make that change, you'll need to know what I'll be talking about over the next few days . The title explains it all... but these are the subjects I'll cover.    Self-hatred (Color Complexes)The absense of Black LeadershipOut of Wedlock Births  Black on Black crimePolice BrutalityEducationSelf-loveSelf-EsteemSuccess in the Black Community (i.e., Entrepeneurship , Black businesses) Disclaimer: Whether you believe that the Willie Lynch Letters are a true part of what makes us hate each other so much in this country, is neither here nor there... Have you been looked down upon because you are intelligent and don't seem to carry the same views as everyone else...Do you think outside the box? Do you precieve any of these things to be the reason that you are rejected in society. I ask because in this world of imperfection, we find that people who are just as imperfect want to pass judgment and belittle those who they feel are less than because of social status, appearance, facial features, and matters of income. Part 2The last show we had on the subject of racism was great but I'm saddened that we only had ONE white person , who hung up abruptly, voice an opinion on the subject. Now I want to try this on a new scale. I want to open up this discussion by *discussing* a topic that made news (EVERYWHERE BUT ON FOX) in the media. A mayor from Arlington, TN. posted, on his facebook account, how upset he was that during "A Charlie Brown Christmas" the Presidential Address interrupted the show. The Mayor, Russell Wiseman, then goes into a rant that leads him to call President Obama "The Muslim President", telling thoes of us who voted for him that we should move to a Muslim Country. Then he references old school wordings from the Forefathers of this country's Constitution that state that only property owners had the right to vote and that it basically shouldn't have changed. We know that when our Forefathers were alive, so was slavery. So in essence, he was implying that blacks shouldn't have the right to vote in America because we put Obama there. (FORGETTING that the majority of Obama's voters were WHITE!) Are there any questions you wish to ask blacks/ whites that you may be confused about? Let's talk about this and get to the bottom of it once and for all. What are the common misconceptions about blacks in America? What are the common misconceptions about blacks in America? It's no surprise racism hasn't gone away. It's too deeply embedded in our society to just disappear. As long as people are unhappy, there will always be racism. Why are blacks called race-baiters when they make statements about racism? Let's Talk About It... *While this will be a no holds barred conversation, there will be no insults tolerated here. LOL Let's face it, we say that everytime we hear a song..even when we don't know the words OR the artists who wrote, produced, or performed the songs. lol There is a catch though...in order to make the game more challenging (and fun) I think we should make this part of the gender war! MEN against WOMEN. The object of this game is to guess from the snippets of songs played, the name of the song and the artist who wrote, produced or performed it. Each team (I'm looking for 3 men and 3 ladies) will get a point each for every correct answer. The winners (male or female) will be crowned "Mr. or Ms. Know It All". :) **To make the game fair...I know some of the songs that my friends love so I won't be playing them...I want to be as unbiased as possible. lol ** One more twist....
