A successful entrepreneur, researcher, teacher and author, Trina Hayes has traveled a long and difficult road toward healing and learning to love herself. Now, by sharing her experience of healing and self-love, she brings that lesson to others who want to make a similar journey.... Born and raised in a small farming village in Hopetown, on the south coast of the Gaspe Peninsula in Eastern Quebec, Hayes enjoyed visiting the elderly when she was a little girl and dreamed of being a writer and speaker. From a very early age she understood the importance of building relationships. She was surrounded by love at the small Baptist church that her family attended, at her mother’s place of employment which was really a second family to her and then of course by her extended family within the small community where she was raised. Her path has taken her to university in Montreal, a kibbutz in Israel, research in Australia, an international housing conference in China, a marketing career in the United Kingdom and a couple a year in Canada’s Arctic as Director of Mental Health, Wellness and Addiction. There she built bridges between various departments within the government and communities across the north. She has been fascinated with people and how and why they develop their social networks for more than 25 years. During the writing of her masters’ thesis she studied elderly women and how their relationships impacted their decisions about remaining in their own homes or moving in to long term facilities. Trina continues to build relationships with others who share her passion in creating awareness of addiction and the impact it has on destroying families, communities and our world. Trina will share an intimate look into her life, her challenges, her obstacles, and her inspiration that got her through it and brought her on an incredible Journey from Ordinary To Extraordinary. This is an interview you do not want to miss!
