We are interviewing author Peggy Kelsey about her new book Gathering Strength which is a resource for those want to understand Afghanistan from a women's perspective.

The book is a series of interviews with Afghan businesswomen, artists, educators, athletes, prisoners, medical professionals, former refugees, politicians, and other women.

Arranged in a conversational format by theme, women of all ages and ethnic groups share their stories, lending clarity and insight to the issues they face.

The author's insightful photographs bring each contributor to vivid life.  Peggy Kelsey is an international photographer recognized for her visual presentations on Afghanistan, Afghan women, and human rights.

She and her photo exhibit, "Afghan Women: Portraits and Stories" have toured universities and colleges in Ohio, New Jersey, Wyoming, Florida, Nevada,
North Carolina, New York, and Texas.
