A unique talent is always going to have a unique story. A story that you can hear and feel in the music they make.Saraswati's music doesn't sound like anyone else. Fusing elements of RnB and Pop with rootsy reggae rhythms and Indian melodies, she's doing something new, something innovative, but still something irresistibly accessible. Of course it helps that she's blessed with a voice that's calls to mind Sadé and MIA as much as it does Lauren Hill, Grace Jones and FKA Twigs. It's a voice that'll stop you in your tracks.Saraswati's story begins in a remote village in Nepal, where at the age of 5, she was taken to an orphanage in Kathmandu with her younger sister. After her sibling was adopted by an English family, Saraswati spent two years on her own. Eventually her sister had learned enough English to tell her new parents that she wasn't an only child and that Saraswati needed adopting too. At that point her life changed.Already a music lover from an early age due to exposure to Bollywood movies in the orphanage, Saraswati's world exploded when confronted by the pop music she was suddenly exposed to.Destiny's Child, Jennifer Lopez and Shakira all made an instant impact and immediately put her on the road to becoming an artist in her own right.
